We must continue to uphold the values that give us success

We must continue to uphold the values that give us success. Most people start to slack on the very values that promoted them the moment they gain some success. One may appear humble when he is just starting out. But as soon as he gets promoted, he looks down on his ex-peers and distant himself from them. As a result, many stop progressing because they abandon the virtues that have been propelling them forward. Therefore, the author said, “But remember the former days…” And again he said, “Therefore, do not throw away your confidence…” Prosperity may change a person’s circumstances, but it should never change the virtues that exalted him. Blessings should reinforce our values system and cause us to grow deeper into the virtues of Christ.
